He was born on February 1, 1938, in Karachi, India (now a part of Pakistan) to Kantilal and Kantiban Patel. He was a very humble, caring, and loving person, well-loved by his family, friends and his patients in the community. Andy was known for his easy-going and quiet nature. He always went above and beyond for his family and friends. He had a passion for whistling while he worked and enjoyed traveling, golfing, and spending time with loved ones. Andy pursued his higher education at Grant College (University of Bombay). He had an illustrious medical career, starting with his pre-med at Wilson College (University of Bombay) and then attending Grant Medical College (Unv. of Bombay).
