He married Danielle Zulz on November 16, 1991, in Wenona, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Kyle Salz of Dillon, CO and Kalin (Haley) Salz of Minonk, IL; one daughter, Kennedi (Bailey Real) Salz of Henry, IL; three sisters, Kim (Bill) Puetz of Leonore, IL, Tanya Hoffmann of Peru, IL, Nikki (Mike Bird) Hoffmann of LaSalle, IL; his mother, Linda (Mike Joerger) Hoffmann of LaSalle, IL; and one granddaughter on the way. He was preceded in death by his father, James; one sister, Tami Salz; and his grandparents, Arnold and Helen Salz.
