Paul Young January 22, 1943 - August 18, 2024 BLOOMINGTON - Paul Young, 81, of Bloomington, IL, passed away August 18, 2024, with loved ones by his side. Paul was born on January 22, 1943, in Decatur, IL. He attended Bowen High School in Bowen, IL, where he proudly reported to have graduated 22nd in his class (of 25 students). He graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois in Champaign and returned in later years to complete his Executive MBA. He proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He was an instructor for the United States Engineer School at Fort Belvoir in Washington D.C. and a Supply Battalion Officer (S-4) for the Army Combat Engineers in Vietnam. His meritorious service earned him the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device.
