He graduated Chenoa High School and joined the US Navy a few years later. He worked several jobs but last 20 plus years he worked at Unit 5 / First Student.Darryl was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Rick Gordon (1/11/2022) Steve Gordon 1/11/2023.Darryl is survived by sisters, Deb (Tom) Rowe of Grovetown, Ga., Robin Holzhauer (Jim Hahn) of Saunemin, Ill., Christy Gordon of Bloomington, Ill., Cindy Effinger of Sheridan, Ak.; brothers, Jeff Gordon of Bloomington, Ill., Dan Gordon and twin of Sparta, Wisc.; 19 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law. Linda Gordon of California and Peggy Gordon of Wisconsin.Celebration of life will be 22 March 2025 at 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at White Oak Park at 1514 Cottage Ave Bloomington, IL 6170
